Highways & Traffic Engineering

Highway and Traffic Engineering is a broad field that deals with all areas of the transportation modes - highways, airport runways and seaports. CEP has participated in a range of projects across the Caribbean dealing with these modes of transportation. These works include pre-investment studies, overall planning, geotechnical investigations, topographic and hydrographic surveys, pavement studies, pavement evaluation and design, as well as structural design for cargo facilities and runways. CEP also has the latest highway software that assists our experienced engineers in the design of all types of roads ranging from feeder roads in agricultural areas to multi-lane highways. Our designs are based mainly on traffic characteristics, prevailing soil and topographic conditions as well as the local availability of road building materials and the particular needs of the community.
